Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) fresh asparagus, thick spears preferred, ends trimmed
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) grated Parmesan cheese, fresh is best
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the asparagus. Snap off the tough ends.
- In a large bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don't overcrowd! You might need to cook in batches.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 7-10 minutes, or until tender-crisp and lightly browned, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking. Check for doneness after 7 minutes.
- Immediately transfer the asparagus to a serving platter. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve hot with lemon wedges, if desired.
