Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Amaretto Liqueur
- 0.75 oz cask-strength bourbon
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tsp rich simple syrup (2:1 ratio)
- 1 large egg white
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 Luxardo maraschino cherry
- 1 lemon wheel
Instructions:
- Measure the Amaretto, bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white into the small tin of a cocktail shaker.
- Add large ice cubes to the shaker and perform a wet shake, shaking vigorously for 15 seconds to chill the ingredients.
- Strain the mixture back into the small tin and discard the ice. Shake the liquid again without ice (the reverse dry shake) for 30 seconds to build a dense foam.
- Double strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into an Old Fashioned glass over one large ice cube.
- Top with two dashes of Angostura bitters and garnish with a maraschino cherry and a lemon wheel.
