Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Amaretto Liqueur
  • 0.75 oz cask-strength bourbon
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp rich simple syrup (2:1 ratio)
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 Luxardo maraschino cherry
  • 1 lemon wheel

Instructions:

  1. Measure the Amaretto, bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white into the small tin of a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add large ice cubes to the shaker and perform a wet shake, shaking vigorously for 15 seconds to chill the ingredients.
  3. Strain the mixture back into the small tin and discard the ice. Shake the liquid again without ice (the reverse dry shake) for 30 seconds to build a dense foam.
  4. Double strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into an Old Fashioned glass over one large ice cube.
  5. Top with two dashes of Angostura bitters and garnish with a maraschino cherry and a lemon wheel.
