- 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup (15 g) chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
- Add in the ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt; mix until well combined.
- For an extra punch of flavor, stir in the chopped fresh cilantro.
- Place your choice of meat in a sealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the meat is well-coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for maximum flavor.
- Grill or pan-sear the marinated meat until cooked to your preferred doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for steaks), ensuring internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for beef.
