Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh, firm white fish (such as tilapia or snapper), diced into small cubes
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 medium cucumber, peeled, seeded, and diced

- Avocado slices (optional)
- Tortilla chips (optional)
- Extra lime wedges (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the fish and pat dry. Dice into small, uniform cubes for even marination.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the fish and lime juice. Cover and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes, or until the fish turns opaque.
- Once the fish is marinated, add the chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, and jalapeño to the bowl.
- Add the chopped cilantro and gently stir to combine all ingredients.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust lime juice as needed.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with avocado and lime wedges, if desired. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
