Ingredients:
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk, at room temperature
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon (2g) salt
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- Additional melted butter (for greasing the muffin tin)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Generously grease the popover or muffin tin with melted butter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. In another bowl, combine the eggs and milk, whisking until fully blended. Gradually pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Stir in the 2 tablespoons of melted butter until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin, filling each cup about halfway.
- Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F (176°C) and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until popovers are puffed and golden brown.
- The popovers should sound hollow when tapped.
- Carefully remove from the tin and let cool slightly before serving.
