Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 32 ounces frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the frozen tater tots evenly over the beef mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions if desired.
