Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp (24g) superfine almond flour
- 1/2 tsp (2g) baking powder
- 1/4 tsp (1g) fine salt
- 1 large (50g) egg
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Combine the almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Note: Whisking the dry ingredients first prevents clumps
- Stir in the melted butter and egg.
- Whisk vigorously with a fork. Continue until the batter is completely smooth and no almond flour pockets remain.
- Pour the mixture into your microwave safe container.
- Microwave on high for 90 seconds (1200W) or up to 120 seconds (700-800W).
- Check for doneness. The top should spring back when touched and the edges should pull away from the sides.
- Carefully slide the bread out of the container.
- Slice the bread into two equal halves.
- Sear in a pan with a pat of butter over medium heat.
- Cook for 1-2 mins until a mahogany colored, crisp crust forms on both sides.
