Ingredients:

  • 1 large French bread loaf (approximately 450g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (240g)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (200g)
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni (about 70g)
  • ½ cup sliced bell peppers (about 75g)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Using a sharp knife, slice the French bread in half lengthwise. Arrange the bread cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Drizzle olive oil evenly over the cut sides of the bread and rub it in.
  4. Spoon the pizza sauce generously onto each half of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce. Layer on pepperoni, bell peppers, and any other desired toppings. Sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
