Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados (about 300g)
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) maple syrup (or agave syrup)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) almond milk (or any non-dairy milk)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)
  • Sliced fresh fruit (like strawberries or bananas)

Instructions:

  1. Cut avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, sea salt, and almond milk to the blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more maple syrup, if desired.
  4. Transfer the avocado chocolate mixture into serving cups or a bowl. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Once chilled, garnish with mint leaves, dark chocolate shavings, and sliced fruit before serving.
