Ingredients:

  • 12 large fresh strawberries (about 1 pound/450g)
  • 8 ounces (227g) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) coconut oil (optional, for smoother texture)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries with paper towels. Remove the green stems if desired.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate and allow excess to drip off.
  4. Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
  5. Once chocolate is firm, lift strawberries off the parchment and arrange on a serving platter.
