Ingredients:
- 2 ½ oz (75 ml) gin (preferably London Dry)
- ½ oz (15 ml) dry vermouth
- Ice cubes, for chilling
- 1 lemon twist or 1 olive (your choice) for garnish
Instructions:
- Chill the glass by placing the martini glass in the freezer or filling it with ice water.
- In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, add ice cubes to about two-thirds full.
- Using a jigger, measure 2 ½ oz gin and ½ oz dry vermouth, then pour into the mixing glass.
- Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 30 seconds, until well chilled.
- Discard ice or water from the chilled glass, and strain the mixture into the glass.
- Add a lemon twist or olive to the drink for garnish.
- Enjoy immediately and savor the flavors!
