Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ oz (75 ml) gin (preferably London Dry)
  • ½ oz (15 ml) dry vermouth
  • Ice cubes, for chilling
  • 1 lemon twist or 1 olive (your choice) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Chill the glass by placing the martini glass in the freezer or filling it with ice water.
  2. In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, add ice cubes to about two-thirds full.
  3. Using a jigger, measure 2 ½ oz gin and ½ oz dry vermouth, then pour into the mixing glass.
  4. Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 30 seconds, until well chilled.
  5. Discard ice or water from the chilled glass, and strain the mixture into the glass.
  6. Add a lemon twist or olive to the drink for garnish.
  7. Enjoy immediately and savor the flavors!
