Ingredients:

  • 1 oz (30 ml) rye whiskey
  • 1 oz (30 ml) sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Bénédictine
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • Ice cubes (for shaking and serving)
  • Lemon twist (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Measure and pour in the rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and Bénédictine.
  3. Add the Angostura and Peychaud's bitters.
  4. Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  5. Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice cubes.
  6. Use a strainer to pour the mixed cocktail over the ice in the glass.
  7. Twist a lemon peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it in as a garnish.
