Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, full-fat, softened (block form recommended)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 8 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and butter. Beat on medium-high speed for 3 minutes until the mixture is pale and silky.
  2. Sift in the powdered sugar and brown sugar. Add vanilla extract. Mix on low until incorporated, then whip on high for 2 minutes until glossy.
  3. Using a silicone spatula, gently fold in the thawed whipped topping and mini chocolate chips using a 'cut and fold' motion to preserve aeration.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with extra chocolate chips. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving to allow fats to firm up.
