Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, full-fat, softened (block form recommended)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 8 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and butter. Beat on medium-high speed for 3 minutes until the mixture is pale and silky.
- Sift in the powdered sugar and brown sugar. Add vanilla extract. Mix on low until incorporated, then whip on high for 2 minutes until glossy.
- Using a silicone spatula, gently fold in the thawed whipped topping and mini chocolate chips using a 'cut and fold' motion to preserve aeration.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with extra chocolate chips. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving to allow fats to firm up.
