Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (15g)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (25g)
  • 1 cup whole milk (240ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (2.5ml)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt until well blended.
  2. Gradually add 1/4 cup of milk to the dry mixture, whisking to form a smooth paste with no lumps.
  3. If desired, heat the rest of the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  4. Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the remaining milk while whisking continuously until completely combined.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract for added depth of flavor.
  6. Pour the chocolate milk into glasses and enjoy immediately.
