Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream (double cream)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) buttermilk or plain yogurt

Instructions:

  1. In a clean glass jar, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of buttermilk or plain yogurt.
  3. Using a whisk or fork, mix the cream and buttermilk until well combined.
  4. Cover the jar loosely with the lid or a clean cloth to allow air circulation.
  5. Let it sit at room temperature (ideally around 70°F/21°C) for 12 to 24 hours.
  6. After 12 hours, check if it has thickened to your liking.
  7. Once ready, stir gently with a rubber spatula, seal the jar with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate.
  8. Use within 2 weeks.
