Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 1.5 lbs or 680g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup (120ml) store-bought BBQ sauce or homemade
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional for tang)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub spice mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring even coverage. (Optional) Marinate in the fridge for up to 30 minutes.
- Set the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for 12 minutes.
- Carefully turn the chicken over and brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on the skin side. Cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes; serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
