Ingredients:
- 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup (100 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup (100 g) cupped pepperoni, chopped
- ½ cup (120 g) ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ cup (60 ml) marinara sauce (for dipping)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough. If using pizza dough, roll it out to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Use a pizza cutter to slice the dough into 3-inch squares.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mozzarella, chopped cupped pepperoni, ricotta, and Italian seasoning. Mix until combined.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough square. Fold the corners over to create a pocket and pinch to seal.
- Arrange bites on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve with marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
