Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) water
  • 1/4 cup (30g) sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
  • Additional sesame seeds, for sprinkling
  • Optional spices (e.g., garlic powder, paprika) to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. Gradually stir in water and oil until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Use a knife or pizza cutter to slice the dough into sticks of desired size.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Place the sticks on a lined baking sheet, sprinkle with sesame seeds and optional spices.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, checking after 10 minutes.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.
