- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- ½ cup unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Fresh berries (e.g., raspberries, strawberries)
- Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Grease the ramekins with butter and dust with flour. Place on a baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the chopped chocolate and butter together, stirring until smooth and fully combined. Allow to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla. Whisk until well blended.
- Slowly stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
- Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
- Bake for 12 minutes, or until the sides are firm but the center is soft.
- Remove from oven and let sit for 1 minute. Carefully invert the ramekins onto warmed plates and let them stand for a moment before lifting off. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with berries and ice cream if desired.
