Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs (240 ml)
- 1 cup whole milk (240 ml)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (2 g)
- Pinch of salt (to taste)
- 8 slices of brioche or thick-cut white bread
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (30 g)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, allowing them to soak for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, letting it melt.
- Place the soaked bread slices on the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
- Transfer the cooked French toast to serving plates and top with your favorite toppings.
