Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs (240 ml)
  • 1 cup whole milk (240 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (2 g)
  • Pinch of salt (to taste)
  • 8 slices of brioche or thick-cut white bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (30 g)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, allowing them to soak for about 30 seconds on each side.
  3. Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, letting it melt.
  4. Place the soaked bread slices on the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
  5. Transfer the cooked French toast to serving plates and top with your favorite toppings.
