Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220 g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Grease (or line with parchment paper) the baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition; then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into bars and serve.
