Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- ½ cup (120 ml) liqueur (suggestion: Grand Marnier, Chambord, or Amaretto)
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
- Whipped cream or mascarpone (for serving, optional)
Instructions:
- Hull and halve the strawberries and place them in a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the liqueur, sugar, and lemon juice until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the liqueur mixture over the strawberries and gently toss until strawberries are evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
- Spoon the strawberries into dessert bowls or glasses. Optionally garnish with mint leaves and serve with whipped cream or mascarpone.
