Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • ½ cup (120 ml) liqueur (suggestion: Grand Marnier, Chambord, or Amaretto)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
  • Whipped cream or mascarpone (for serving, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Hull and halve the strawberries and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the liqueur, sugar, and lemon juice until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the liqueur mixture over the strawberries and gently toss until strawberries are evenly coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Spoon the strawberries into dessert bowls or glasses. Optionally garnish with mint leaves and serve with whipped cream or mascarpone.
