Ingredients:
- 1 wedge Fresh Lime
- 1 tbsp (15g) Tajín seasoning or coarse sea salt
- 1 slice Fresh Grapefruit or Orange wheel
- 1 Maraschino cherry
- 2 oz (60ml) Tequila Blanco or Reposado
- 1 oz (30ml) Freshly squeezed Orange juice
- 0.5 oz (15ml) Freshly squeezed Grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz (15ml) Freshly squeezed Lime juice
- 1 pinch (approx. 1/8 tsp) Sea salt
- 5 oz (150ml) Sparkling Grapefruit Soda (Squirt or Jarritos)
- 1 cup (approx. 150g) Fresh ice cubes
Instructions:
- Moisten the rim of a traditional clay pot or highball glass with a lime wedge. Dip the rim into Tajín or sea salt until evenly coated.
- Add a pinch of sea salt to the bottom of the vessel. Pour in the fresh orange juice, grapefruit juice, and lime juice.
- Add the tequila to the citrus base and stir gently with a bar spoon to dissolve the salt.
- Fill the vessel to the top with fresh ice cubes.
- Slowly pour the sparkling grapefruit soda over the ice. Stir once very gently to combine while preserving carbonation.
- Garnish with a citrus wheel and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.
