Ingredients:

  • 2 fl oz (60 ml) Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey
  • 75 fl oz (22 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 4–5 fl oz (120–150 ml) Premium Ginger Beer, chilled
  • Ice (cubed or crushed)
  • 1 Lime wedge or wheel, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Glassware: Place the copper mug(s) in the freezer for at least 5 minutes prior to use, or fill with ice and let stand briefly. The colder the mug, the longer the ice lasts.
  2. Juice the Lime: Measure the required 0.75 fl oz (22 ml) of fresh lime juice.
  3. Combine Base Liquids: Into the chilled copper mug, pour the measured Bourbon whiskey and the fresh lime juice.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the mug generously—nearly to the brim—with fresh ice cubes. Do not skimp on the ice; dilution is essential.
  5. Top with Ginger Beer: Slowly pour the chilled premium ginger beer over the ice, filling the mug completely.
  6. Gentle Stir: Use the bar spoon (or standard spoon) to gently stir the contents once or twice near the bottom of the mug. Avoid stirring vigorously, as this causes the ginger beer’s carbonation to flatten.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Place a lime wedge or wheel directly onto the rim of the mug. Serve immediately.
