Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ ounces Tequila Blanco (100% Agave)
  • ¾ ounce Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ ounce Crème de Cassis
  • 4–6 ounces Spicy Ginger Beer (for top-up)
  • Ice, as needed
  • 1 Lime wheel or wedge, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glass: Take a highball or Collins glass. For best results, chill the glass in the freezer for a few minutes beforehand.
  2. Combine Base Ingredients: Pour the Tequila Blanco, Fresh Lime Juice, and Crème de Cassis directly into the serving glass.
  3. Add Ice: Fill the glass nearly to the top with fresh, clean ice cubes.
  4. Incorporate the Base: Give the liquid ingredients a very quick, gentle stir with a bar spoon (3–4 seconds) just to integrate them before adding the carbonated mixer.
  5. Top with Ginger Beer: Slowly top the cocktail with the spicy Ginger Beer until the glass is full. Pouring slowly helps maintain carbonation.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the El Diablo Cocktail with a fresh lime wheel or wedge placed on the rim or dropped into the glass. Serve immediately while the bubbles are still buzzing.
