Ingredients:
- 1 ½ ounces Tequila Blanco (100% Agave)
- ¾ ounce Fresh Lime Juice
- ½ ounce Crème de Cassis
- 4–6 ounces Spicy Ginger Beer (for top-up)
- Ice, as needed
- 1 Lime wheel or wedge, for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Glass: Take a highball or Collins glass. For best results, chill the glass in the freezer for a few minutes beforehand.
- Combine Base Ingredients: Pour the Tequila Blanco, Fresh Lime Juice, and Crème de Cassis directly into the serving glass.
- Add Ice: Fill the glass nearly to the top with fresh, clean ice cubes.
- Incorporate the Base: Give the liquid ingredients a very quick, gentle stir with a bar spoon (3–4 seconds) just to integrate them before adding the carbonated mixer.
- Top with Ginger Beer: Slowly top the cocktail with the spicy Ginger Beer until the glass is full. Pouring slowly helps maintain carbonation.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish the El Diablo Cocktail with a fresh lime wheel or wedge placed on the rim or dropped into the glass. Serve immediately while the bubbles are still buzzing.
