Ingredients:

  • Ice (Full Glass, Cubed or crushed)
  • 5 oz (45 ml) Malibu Coconut-Flavoured Rum
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Cranberry Juice (100% juice, chilled)
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Pineapple Juice (Unsweetened, chilled)
  • 1 Fresh Lime Wedge (for garnish and spritz)
  • Optional Garnish: Pineapple wedge or Maraschino Cherry

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Glass: Place the highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5 minutes, or fill it with ice water while preparing ingredients.
  2. Prep Garnish: Slice a fresh lime wedge and a small pineapple spear (if using).
  3. Fill with Ice: Empty the chilling water (if applicable) and fill the glass completely with fresh ice cubes.
  4. Add the Spirit: Carefully measure and pour the 1.5 oz (45 ml) of Coconut Rum over the ice.
  5. Add Pineapple: Measure and pour the 3 oz (90 ml) of chilled Pineapple Juice into the glass.
  6. Add Cranberry (The Layering Trick): Measure the 3 oz (90 ml) of chilled Cranberry Juice. Gently pour the cranberry juice over the back of a spoon, or directly onto the ice, to create a subtle visual gradient.
  7. Gentle Stir: Using a long-handled spoon, gently stir the cocktail 2-3 times to combine the ingredients without excessive dilution.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Squeeze the fresh lime wedge over the drink and drop it in, or secure a pineapple wedge/cherry on the rim. Serve immediately.
