Ingredients:
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions:
- Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper (optional) for easier removal.
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture starts to boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until fully melted and combined.
- Fold in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a greased spatula or your hands (moistened with water) to press evenly into the dish.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine milk chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted and smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate-butterscotch mixture over the pressed cereal base and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Allow the bars to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes until the topping is set.
- Cut into squares or rectangles and serve!
