Ingredients:
- 1 round wooden board or cake base (12 inches in diameter)
- 1 sturdy wooden dowel (at least 12 inches long, with a 1/2 inch diameter)
- 1 spool of decorative ribbon (1-inch width, 3 yards recommended)
- 1 bottle of strong craft glue or wood adhesive
- Optional: food-safe finish (if desired)
Instructions:
- Measure and cut the wooden board to your desired size (if not pre-cut). Use sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges.
- Mark the center of the wooden base. Insert the dowel into the center of the board; apply glue for stability. Use clamps to secure the dowel in place while it dries.
- Once the glue is dry, wrap the decorative ribbon around the dowel, securing it with glue as needed. Optionally, apply a food-safe finish to the surface of the base if desired.
- Allow the entire structure to cure for at least a few hours before placing any cake on the stand. Inspect for stability and ensure all parts are securely attached.
