Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) All-Purpose Flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 6 tablespoons (85g) Unsalted Butter, very cold, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup (240ml) Buttermilk, very cold
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- Add the cold butter cubes to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry blender, your fingertips, or two knives to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour the cold buttermilk into the flour mixture. Gently stir with a fork until just combined. Do not overmix!
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch (2.5cm) between each biscuit.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
- Let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving.
