Ingredients:

  • 500g fresh red jalapeño peppers
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 120ml distilled white vinegar
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and remove stems from jalapeño peppers. Deseed them if you prefer a milder sauce.
  2. In a blender, combine jalapeños, garlic, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Blend until smooth, scraping down sides as needed.
  3. Pour the blended mixture into a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add water if needed to adjust consistency; simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool. Transfer to a jar or bottle and refrigerate.
