Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef (454 g)
- 1 packet (1 ounce/28g) taco seasoning mix (low sodium recommended)
- 1/2 cup water (120 ml)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (227 g)
- 16 ounces sour cream (454 g)
- 1 cup salsa (your favorite spice level) (240 ml)
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1/4 cup lime juice (60 ml)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (113 g)
- 1/2 cup chopped black olives (60 g)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (30 g)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (30g)
Instructions:
- Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, mash avocado with lime juice.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly onto the serving platter. Top with the seasoned ground beef.
- Spread salsa over the beef, then spread the guacamole evenly over the salsa.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese, black olives, green onions, and cilantro over the guacamole.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (optional) to allow flavors to meld. Serve with tortilla chips.
