Ingredients:
- 320g All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Fine sea salt
- 1 tbsp Granulated sugar
- 227g Unsalted high-fat European-style butter, cubed and frozen
- 120ml Ice water
- 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Combine 320g flour, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tbsp sugar in a large bowl.
- Incorporate the frozen 227g butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs with some pea sized chunks.
- Mix 120ml ice water with 1 tsp apple cider vinegar.
- Drizzle in the water 1 tablespoon at a time, tossing with a fork until the dough just starts to clump together.
- Divide the dough in half and gently press into two flat discs.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Roll the dough on a floured surface until it is 3mm thick and wider than your pie dish.
- Place in the dish, trim the excess, and pinch the edges until you have a decorative border.
- Put the prepared crust back in the fridge for 15 minutes before baking.
