Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups (300g) Bisquick Baking Mix
  • ½ cup (120ml) 7-Up (or any lemon-lime soda, room temperature)
  • ½ cup (1 stick/113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • (Optional) 1 tablespoon milk or cream, for brushing the tops
  • (Optional) Pinch of flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Grease a 9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine Bisquick and 7-Up. Stir just until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix!
  3. Gently stir in the melted butter until it is incorporated.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat or roll it out to about ½-inch thickness.
  5. Use a biscuit cutter (or a drinking glass!) to cut out biscuits. Don’t twist the cutter – press straight down.
  6. Place the biscuits in the prepared baking pan, touching each other.
  7. Brush the tops of the biscuits with milk or cream for a golden crust. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let the biscuits cool in the pan for a few minutes before serving.
