Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
- ½ cup (120ml) cold milk (or additional heavy cream)
- ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Pour in heavy cream and cold milk; mix until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it 5-6 times until it comes together.
- Pat or roll the dough to about 1-inch thick.
- Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with melted butter for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
