Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) chicken wings
- 1/4 cup (60ml) olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (50g) cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken wings and toss until well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and garlic powder.
- In a frying pan or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C) for frying.
- Remove wings from marinade
- Carefully place coated wings in the hot oil, without overcrowding. Fry for 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove wings from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
