Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk, warmed
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add melted butter and yeast mixture; combine until a dough forms.
  4. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth; cover and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled.
  5. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  6. Stir in garlic, pepper, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce; cook for 2 more minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and mix in cheddar and Parmesan cheese; let it cool slightly.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  10. Cut into squares of about 3 inches on each side.
  11. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each square.
  12. Fold the edges over and pinch to seal; place seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  13. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  14. Meanwhile, mix melted butter, garlic, and Parmesan for the topping.
  15. Brush the bombs with the garlic butter mixture immediately after baking; sprinkle with parsley if desired.
