Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Water
  • 2 ounces (60ml) Bourbon
  • ¾ ounce (22.5ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ¾ ounce (22.5ml) Honey Syrup
  • Lemon peel, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Make the Honey Syrup: Combine honey and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the honey is fully dissolved. Let cool completely.
  2. Prepare the Cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add Ingredients: Pour the bourbon, lemon juice, and honey syrup into the shaker.
  4. Shake Well: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
  5. Strain and Serve: Strain the gold rush cocktail into a rocks glass filled with ice.
  6. Garnish: Express the oils from a lemon peel over the drink, then use the peel as a garnish (optional).
