Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 (6-ounce/170 g) tuna steaks, about 1-inch thick
- Optional: Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, rosemary, basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- While the tuna is marinating, preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
- Remove tuna from marinade (discard marinade) and place steaks on the grill. Grill for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove from grill and let rest for a minute. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
