Ingredients:

  • 2 whole bulbs of garlic (about 9 ounces / 255 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (30 ml)
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) for added flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the garlic bulbs to expose the cloves. Place each bulb on a piece of aluminum foil.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the exposed cloves; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Optionally, add fresh herbs.
  4. Wrap the garlic tightly in the foil. Place on a baking tray and roast in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
  5. Garlic should be golden brown and soft when pressed. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  6. Squeeze the roasted cloves out of their skins and enjoy as desired.
