Ingredients:
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- In a large pot, add vegetable oil and heat over medium-high heat until hot (test by adding 2-3 popcorn kernels).
- Once the test kernels pop, add the remaining popcorn kernels and sugar to the pot.
- Quickly cover the pot with the lid and shake gently to distribute the sugar evenly.
- Continue shaking the pot every few seconds until popping slows down (about 2 seconds between pops).
- Remove the pot from heat when popping slows significantly and let stand for a minute before uncovering.
- Immediately transfer the popcorn to a large bowl, sprinkle with salt, and toss to combine. Enjoy!
