Ingredients:
- 2 cups (300g) ripe cantaloupe or honeydew melon, peeled, deseeded, and cubed
- 2 cups (480ml) vodka
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) water
Instructions:
- Peel, deseed, and cube the melons.
- In a blender, combine the melon cubes and vodka. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the melon-vodka mixture into a large glass jar; seal tightly and let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, strain the mixture using a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bowl, discarding the solid residue.
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Allow to cool.
- Stir the cooled simple syrup into the strained melon spirit.
- Using a funnel, pour the finished liqueur into a clean bottle for storage.
- Refrigerate and enjoy!
