Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (300g) ripe cantaloupe or honeydew melon, peeled, deseeded, and cubed
  • 2 cups (480ml) vodka
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) water

Instructions:

  1. Peel, deseed, and cube the melons.
  2. In a blender, combine the melon cubes and vodka. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the melon-vodka mixture into a large glass jar; seal tightly and let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 24 hours.
  4. After 24 hours, strain the mixture using a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bowl, discarding the solid residue.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Allow to cool.
  6. Stir the cooled simple syrup into the strained melon spirit.
  7. Using a funnel, pour the finished liqueur into a clean bottle for storage.
  8. Refrigerate and enjoy!
