Ingredients:
- 1 cup baking soda (120 grams)
- 1 cup vinegar (240 ml)
- 1 tablespoon dish soap (15 ml)
- Water as needed for soaking
Instructions:
- Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning.
- In a spray bottle, combine baking soda, vinegar, and dish soap. Add water to dilute if necessary, and shake to mix.
- Generously spray the solution onto the grill grates and let it sit for at least 15-20 minutes.
- Use the grill brush or steel wool pad to scrub the grates thoroughly, focusing on areas with heavy buildup.
- For extremely dirty grates, submerge them in hot, soapy water for up to 30 minutes, then scrub again.
- Rinse the grates under warm water and dry them thoroughly with a clean cloth or paper towels.
- Optionally, apply a light coat of cooking oil to prevent rust and keep them ready for the next grilling session.
