Ingredients:
- 4 cups water (1 liter)
- 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers (15g)
- 2 tablespoons dried peppermint leaves (15g)
- 2 teaspoons dried lemon balm (5g)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced (15g)
- 1 tablespoon raw honey, to taste (optional)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (2g)
- ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric (1g)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (2g)
Instructions:
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
- While the water is boiling, combine chamomile, peppermint, lemon balm, and fresh ginger in a heat-proof pitcher.
- Pour the boiling water over the herbal blend. Cover the pitcher with a lid or a clean cloth and let it steep for 1-2 hours.
- After steeping, strain the infusion using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean container.
- Stir in cinnamon, turmeric, and black pepper. Adjust sweetness with honey if desired.
- Serve warm or refrigerate to enjoy cold. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
