Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water (1 liter)
  • 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers (15g)
  • 2 tablespoons dried peppermint leaves (15g)
  • 2 teaspoons dried lemon balm (5g)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced (15g)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey, to taste (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (2g)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric (1g)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (2g)

Instructions:

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. While the water is boiling, combine chamomile, peppermint, lemon balm, and fresh ginger in a heat-proof pitcher.
  3. Pour the boiling water over the herbal blend. Cover the pitcher with a lid or a clean cloth and let it steep for 1-2 hours.
  4. After steeping, strain the infusion using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean container.
  5. Stir in cinnamon, turmeric, and black pepper. Adjust sweetness with honey if desired.
  6. Serve warm or refrigerate to enjoy cold. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
