- 1 cup steel cut oats (180g)
- 3 cups water or milk (720ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5g)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional) (15ml)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
- Fresh fruits (bananas, berries, etc.)
- Nuts (almonds, walnuts)
- Cinnamon or nutmeg
- Yogurt or nut butter
Instructions:
- Gather all ingredients and equipment.
- In the Instant Pot, add steel cut oats, water (or milk), and salt. Stir to combine.
- Close the lid of the Instant Pot and ensure the valve is set to 'Sealing.'
- Select the 'Manual' or 'Pressure Cook' setting and set the timer for 10 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes. Then switch to 'Venting' to release any remaining steam.
- Carefully open the lid. Stir the oats gently. If desired, sweeten with maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Serve warm with your choice of toppings.
