Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60ml) Blanco Tequila (100% Blue Agave)
- 1 oz (30ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 0.5 oz (15ml) Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 0.5 oz (15ml) Light Agave Nectar
- 1 tbsp (15g) Coarse Sea Salt or Kosher Salt
- 0.5 tsp (2g) Fresh Lime Zest
- 1 cup (150g) Large, solid ice cubes
Instructions:
- Prepare the rimming mixture by combining coarse sea salt and lime zest on a small flat plate.
- Moisten the outer edge of a rocks glass with a lime wedge. Dip the glass into the salt mixture at a 45-degree angle, rotating to coat the exterior rim only.
- Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with fresh ice cubes.
- Add the blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, Cointreau, and agave nectar to the shaker.
- Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15 seconds to achieve proper dilution, aeration, and temperature.
- Strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer into the prepared salt-rimmed rocks glass over fresh ice.
