Ingredients:
- 4 oz (113g) Beef Sirloin Steak, about ½ inch thick
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Olive Oil
- 1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) Onion Powder
- Pinch of Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) Milk or Cream
- Pinch of Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 1/2 tbsp (7.5 ml) Butter
- 1 Everything Bagel, split
- 1 slice American Cheese (or Cheddar or Provolone)
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) Butter, softened
Instructions:
- Season steak with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness). Let rest for a few minutes, then thinly slice against the grain.
- While the steak is resting, toast the bagel halves to your desired level of doneness. Spread each half with softened butter.
- Whisk eggs with milk/cream, salt, and pepper. Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, gently stirring and scrambling, until set but still slightly moist.
- Place one slice of American cheese on the bottom bagel half. Top with the cooked egg, sliced steak, and the top bagel half.
- Serve your homemade mcdonald's steak egg & cheese bagel immediately while it's hot and melty!
