Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 boneless, skinless fish fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine paprika, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Mix until well blended.
  2. Pat fish fillets dry with paper towels and rub the spice mix generously on both sides of the fillets.
  3. Allow the seasoned fish to rest for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and carefully place the fish fillets in the skillet.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
