Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (397g)
  • 1 ½ cups ice water (355 ml)
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix (96g)
  • 3 cups heavy cream (710 ml), cold
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
  • 1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers (340g)
  • 4-5 ripe bananas, sliced

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and ice water until combined.
  2. Add the vanilla pudding mix and whisk until smooth and thickened (about 2 minutes).
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until fully incorporated.
  5. Layer vanilla wafers in the bottom of your serving dish. Top with a layer of sliced bananas and a layer of pudding.
  6. Repeat the layers of wafers, bananas, and pudding until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of pudding.
  7. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. This allows the wafers to soften and the flavors to meld.
