Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) rolled oats (not instant)
- ½ cup (120 ml) creamy peanut butter
- ⅓ cup (80 ml) honey or maple syrup
- ¼ cup (60 ml) ground flaxseed (optional)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- ¼ cup (60 ml) mini chocolate chips (optional)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chia seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients: rolled oats, peanut butter, honey/maple syrup, ground flaxseed, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and chia seeds (if using).
- Stir everything together until well combined. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This will help the mixture firm up and make it easier to roll.
- Once chilled, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls using your hands.
- Place the rolled balls on the prepared cookie sheet or plate.
- For even firmer balls, refrigerate for another 15-20 minutes (optional).
