Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons yerba mate (30 grams)
  • 1 cup hot water (240 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (15 grams) (optional)
  • Lemon slices or mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Gather yerba mate, your selected vessel, hot water, and optional garnishes.
  2. Place yerba mate into the gourd or mug, tilting slightly to create a slope.
  3. Carefully pour the hot water onto the yerba mate, ensuring it’s not boiling.
  4. Let it steep for about 3–5 minutes. Insert the bombilla into the yerba mate at an angle to enjoy.
  5. If desired, stir in honey or add lemon for added flavor.
  6. You can refill with hot water a few times until the flavor dissipates.
