Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons yerba mate (30 grams)
- 1 cup hot water (240 ml)
- 1 tablespoon honey (15 grams) (optional)
- Lemon slices or mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Gather yerba mate, your selected vessel, hot water, and optional garnishes.
- Place yerba mate into the gourd or mug, tilting slightly to create a slope.
- Carefully pour the hot water onto the yerba mate, ensuring it’s not boiling.
- Let it steep for about 3–5 minutes. Insert the bombilla into the yerba mate at an angle to enjoy.
- If desired, stir in honey or add lemon for added flavor.
- You can refill with hot water a few times until the flavor dissipates.
